Firas Najim is one of the industry’s leading Master Hairstylists and Educators. He is proud to offer his Master Stylist Program to passionate individuals ready to build a professional career in hairstyling. Learn advanced haircutting, styling, colouring, and highlighting techniques through expert guidance and real-world training.

At our academy, students gain the essential skills needed to become confident, job-ready hairstylists. Our 12-week hairdressing course is designed with intensive hands-on training, including a focused 3-day Scissor/Razor class and specialized 6-week modules in haircutting, styling, and colouring. Students learn directly from experienced professionals, accelerating their growth while saving time and money. The first three students to enroll will also receive a professional scissor set valued at $300.

MASTER STYLIST PROGRAM COURSE OUTLINE

Week 1: Foundations of Haircutting – Part 1

Objectives: • • Learn salon hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards • • Identify and properly use haircutting tools • • Develop correct posture and ergonomics Outcomes: • • Students demonstrate safe tool handling • • Students perform proper sanitization of tools and workstations

Week 2: Foundations of Haircutting – Part 2

Objectives: • • Master sectioning, parting, and head shape analysis • • Perform blunt/one-length haircut techniques Outcomes: • • Students complete clean, symmetrical one-length cuts on mannequins

Week 3: Advanced Cutting – Graduation

Objectives: • • Learn short and long graduation techniques • • Develop precision in angle cutting Outcomes: • • Students perform graduated bobs and layered shapes with accuracy

Week 4: Advanced Cutting – Layers & Texture

Objectives: • • Apply layering techniques (short, medium, long) • • Explore texturizing (point cutting, slide cutting, thinning) • • Introduce clipper-over-comb Outcomes: • • Students create layered cuts • • Students refine shapes with texturizing methods

Week 5: Styling – Blow Drying & Thermal Tools

Objectives: • • Understand hair prep and product selection • • Practice blow-drying for smooth, volume, and curled finishes • • Safely use curling irons, flat irons, and wands • • Match styles to face shapes and hair textures Outcomes: • • Students complete 3 blow-dry styles • • Students create polished finishes with thermal tools

Week 6: Men’s Grooming – Clipper & Beard Work

Objectives: • • Perform fades, tapers, and clipper-over-comb • • Shape and maintain facial hair Outcomes: • • Students complete men’s cuts with clipper blending • • Students detail and style beards

Week 7: Coloring Foundations – Theory & Application

Objectives: • • Learn color theory: levels, tones, and the color wheel • • Perform hair/scalp analysis before coloring • • Apply a single-process color Outcomes: • • Students explain undertones and shade selection • • Students perform single-process coloring on mannequins

Week 8: Coloring – Grey Coverage & Toners

Objectives: • • Understand color types (temporary, semi, demi, permanent) • • Practice grey coverage and toner application Outcomes: • • Students complete root retouch and toner services on mannequins

Week 9: Highlighting & Balayage

Objectives: • • Master weaving, slicing, and baby-light placement • • Learn foil patterns for blending and dimension • • Explore balayage, ombré, and hand-painting • • Introduction to vivid/fashion shades and corrective toning Outcomes: • • Students execute full head of highlights with proper foil placement • • Students complete balayage or creative color application

Week 10: Texture Services – Perming & Smoothing

Objectives: • • Understand the chemistry of perms • • Practice wrapping techniques (body wave, spiral, curl) • • Learn chemical relaxers and keratin smoothing methods Outcomes: • • Students complete wrapped perm rod sets • • Students demonstrate safe chemical relaxing techniques

Week 11: Combination Services & Salon Readiness

Objectives: • • Combine cut + color, color + style, and perm + cut • • Conduct thorough consultations and recommend retail • • Manage timing, pricing, and booking • • Build social media presence and portfolio Outcomes: • • Students complete a full combined service • • Students perform mock consultations and upselling • • Students create a basic online portfolio

Week 12: Final Assessments & Graduation

Objectives: • • Demonstrate mastery across haircutting, coloring, styling, and perming • • Showcase professional communication skills Outcomes: • • Students complete a timed practical exam (full client service) • • Students pass a written theory test • • Students present their final portfolio and graduate
